1. SMS Program Overview

Job Site Core provides a cloud-based construction management platform. As part of our service, we send transactional SMS messages to customers, subcontractors, and team members on behalf of contractors who use our platform. All SMS messages are transactional in nature, relate to active projects, and are sent only to recipients who have opted in — we do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

2. Types of Messages Sent

Job Site Core sends the following types of transactional SMS messages:

Quote notifications — Alerts when a contractor sends you a project quote for review
Invoice notifications — Alerts when an invoice is ready for viewing or payment
Project status updates — Notifications about project milestones and progress
Payment confirmations — Receipts when a payment has been processed
Subcontractor photo upload requests — One-time links for subcontractors to upload project completion photos
Emergency dispatch alerts — Callout notifications sent by a contractor to their own on-call crew and subcontractors when an emergency job comes in (for example a fire, water or storm loss requiring an immediate response)

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on project activity. Typically, you will receive 1 to 5 messages per active project. Messages are only sent when there is a relevant project event (such as a new quote, invoice, or status update). You will not receive recurring or scheduled messages — each message relates to a specific action taken by your contractor.

4. How You Opt In to Receive Messages

End users opt in before any text message is sent. Consent is collected at the moment you provide your mobile number, and is then confirmed by a one-time reply-YES step before any project message is delivered:

You Provide Your Number with Consent

You contact a contractor — for example, to request a quote or be scheduled for work — and give them your mobile number, expressly agreeing to receive project-related texts (quotes, invoices, project and appointment updates, payment confirmations, photo-upload requests) from that contractor sent via Job Site Core. You can also opt in (or out) at any time from your customer portal notification preferences.

Your Consent Is Recorded

Job Site Core stores a consent record for your number (phone number, timestamp, and consent method).

One-Time Confirmation — Reply YES

Before any project message is sent, Job Site Core sends a single confirmation text and waits for your reply:

{Contractor} (via Job Site Core): Reply YES to get project text updates (quotes, invoices, schedule). Msg&data rates may apply, reply STOP to cancel.

Project Messages Begin Only After YES

No project messages are sent unless you reply YES (replies of START or JOIN are also accepted). Every message that follows identifies the sender (contractor name + Job Site Core) and includes opt-out instructions.

For Subcontractors

Subcontractors opt in the same way: they provide their mobile number to the project manager with express agreement to receive project texts (such as one-time photo-upload links), consent is recorded, and the one-time reply-YES confirmation applies before project messages are sent.

For Team Members

Employees joining their company on Job Site Core provide their mobile number to their company administrator during onboarding, agreeing to receive a one-time invitation text with their sign-up link.

Employees and engaged subcontractors whose mobile number is on their company’s roster may also receive emergency dispatch alerts from that company — a text when an emergency callout comes in, so the on-call crew can respond. These are sent by the contractor to their own workforce as part of the working relationship, are operational rather than promotional, and are only ever sent to a number recorded on that company’s own roster. Reply STOP to any of them to opt out at any time; opting out never affects employment or engagement. These workforce messages are separate from the customer project-messaging program described above.

Contractor SMS Enablement (Platform Users)

Separately from end-user consent, contractors who use the Job Site Core platform enable SMS features for their own account through an explicit, unchecked-by-default consent control in their account settings. Enabling SMS for the account never bypasses the end-user opt-in described above.

6. How to Opt Out

You can opt out of receiving SMS messages from Job Site Core at any time using any of the following methods:

Reply STOP to any message you receive from Job Site Core. You will receive a confirmation: "You have been unsubscribed from Job Site Core messages and will receive no more. Reply START to opt back in."
Contact us at support@jobsitecore.com and request to be removed from SMS communications

After opting out, you will not receive any further SMS messages from Job Site Core. To re-subscribe, reply START to any previous message from our number.

7. Privacy & Mobile Data Protection

Job Site Core will never sell, share, or disclose your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or advertising purposes.

Your phone number is collected solely for the purpose of delivering transactional SMS messages related to your construction projects. We share your phone number only with our SMS service provider, Twilio Inc., for the sole purpose of message delivery. Twilio's handling of your information is governed by Twilio's Privacy Policy.

Your consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Job Site Core or from any contractor using our platform.

8. Compliance

Job Site Core's SMS messaging program complies with:

Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) regulations
CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices
Carrier requirements for Application-to-Person (A2P) messaging
CAN-SPAM Act requirements

All messages are sent only after the recipient has opted in as described in Section 4. We do not send unsolicited messages, and consent is collected specifically for this messaging program — it is never shared, sold, or transferred.
