Dispatch is where an emergency callout is logged, sent to your crew and worked on scene. Open it from the Dispatch tile in Field Ops.
The Dispatch board
Each callout is a row with its status, loss type and response time. Tap a row to open the callout.
The chips across the top filter the board — Active, Awaiting response, On scene, Needs authorization and more. Each chip shows its count.
Log a callout
Tap New callout. Two things are required: where the job is, and who called it in.
The rest — the agency, the caller, the incident number and what happened — can wait until you are on the way or on scene.
Tap Log callout. Logging notifies nobody; the callout opens so you can send it to the crew.
Broadcast to the crew
On the callout, tap Broadcast to crew. Before you send, the top of the screen shows how many people you can reach by text, email and push, and who you cannot reach.
Call out everyone on the roster or pick people, then tap Send callout. The screen then lists each person and how the message reached them.
Each message carries a link. The crew member opens it, picks how long until they are there, and taps I'm going or Can't go.
On scene
The Response tab holds the timeline, the Scene tab holds the field ticket, and the Authorization tab holds the signed document.
- I'm on scene — stamps your arrival time.
- Released by emergency dept. — stamps the release.
- Long-press a stamped time to correct it.
Capture the authorization
Tap Capture authorization. Tick who is signing — for example the property owner, a property manager or a tenant — and hand the device to each signer in turn.
If a usual signer is not there, or will not sign, record why. Review the signatures and tap Complete authorization.
The authorization is saved on the device straight away, and the signatures upload when you have signal.
Set up your authorization language
Capture authorization uses your company's own authorization language, set up in Dispatch settings. On a phone or tablet, open it from the ⋮ menu on the Dispatch board; on a wide screen, from the settings button in its top bar.
Paste or write the language your attorney has approved and tap Save draft. JobSiteCore does not write or review this text.
Confirm the legal review, then tap Publish. From then on, crews can capture signed authorizations.
