Job photos are your record of the work. The camera in the iPhone and Android apps takes full-resolution photos, sharp enough to read a permit or a data plate.
Photos upload in the background. With no signal they wait on the phone and upload when the connection comes back.
Sharper photos
The camera takes a real photo, not a frame from a video. On iPhone that is a 12 MP photo.
In photo mode the viewfinder shows the whole photo, so what you frame is what you get.
Focus, flash and zoom
- Tap the viewfinder to focus and set exposure there.
- Flash starts off. Tap it for Auto, then Torch.
- Pinch in on a saved photo to see full detail.
Permits and data plates
- Hold the phone square to the page or plate.
- Tap the text you need before you shoot.
- Keep the flash off on shiny or laminated surfaces.
Storage
Full-resolution photos take more room. When storage passes 80%, a banner shows about how many more full-quality photos fit.
The storage meter on the Usage tab shows the same estimate.
On the web
In a web browser, photos come from your computer's camera or files and are saved at a standard size.
Check your uploads
Uploads lists what is uploading, waiting or failed. Retry or discard a failed item there.
